Waste Services Makes Tampa Acquisitions

Waste Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: WSII) has agreed to acquire Liberty Waste, LLC and Sun Country Materials, LLC to expand its Tampa, Florida operations. Allied Records Results For 2005

Allied Waste Industries has reported earnings for 2005 of $51.9 million, or 15 cents per share, up from $12 million, or 4 cents per share in 2004. The company's revenue rose to $1.47 billion from $1.39 billion a year ago. Over the full year, Allied's earnings were $151.8 million or 46 cents per share, an increase from $27.7 million, or 9 cents per share, in 2004. C&A Floorcoverings has recycled more than 100,000,000 pounds of reclaimed vinyl and vinyl-backed carpet since introducing its "Infinity Initiative" ten years ago. Exide Announces Final Results For 2005

Exide Technologies has announced financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2006, ended Dec. 31, 2005. Consolidated net sales for the quarter increased to $733.4 million from $727.9 million last year. Consolidated net loss for the quarter was $27.7 million, including $6.5 million in restructuring costs and $1.3 million in bankruptcy-related costs.
