Electronic Recyclers Announces Record Recycling Totals at Growth Conference

John S. Shegerian, President and CEO of Electronic Recyclers, California's largest recycler of electronic waste, announced today that his company last month became the first organization in California's history to recycle five million pounds of electronic waste in a one-month period.

As one of only twenty private companies invited to present today at the ThinkEquity Partners LLC 2006 Growth Conference (G4) at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco, Electronic Recyclers' Shegerian explained to the crowd of investors the importance and promise of recycling electronics.

During his presentation, Shegerian illustrated the tremendous need for effective recycling of electronics by citing his company's recent record-setting month as an example. The Fresno-based Electronic Recyclers' record five million pounds of electronic waste in one month keeps hazardous material out of landfills and sets a new standard encouraged by the state of California's innovative and aggressive SB20 electronic recycling legislation.

Thanks to programs such as California's SB20 and organizations such as Electronic Recyclers, projections show that more than 140 million pounds of electronic waste will be properly recycled this year.

"It's an honor to be able to share information about our exciting new industry at this prestigious conference," said Shegerian. "Everyone here is investigating the business trends of the future and finding solutions to some of our biggest challenges. Electronic waste is one such challenge. The amount of e-waste still uncollected is staggering, which is why we expect to grow rapidly as more states follow California's lead and learn how to properly recycle electronics effectively. I'm honored that we have been invited to share our insight and expertise with the great financial and business decision makers in attendance today."

The largest recycler of electronic waste in the State of California, Fresno-headquartered Electronic Recyclers is licensed to de-manufacture, recycle and crush the cathode ray tubes found in computer monitors, televisions and other types of video equipment.
