Ohio Environmental Commission Approves Waste Management Transfer Station

The Ohio Environmental Appeals Review Commission has decided in favor of Waste Management of Ohio's request for a license to operate a transfer station at the site of its former Environmental Land Development Association landfill in Cincinnati.

New Jersey Landfill Trust Will Open Books

The group that administers the GEMS Landfill Superfund site in Camden County, N.J. will have to disclose its finances. The federal Environmental Protection Agency has begun an audit of the GEMS Phase II Trust, which has proposed a controversial plan to discharge contaminated groundwater from the site into Camden's sewer system.
