Clean Harbors reported record third-quarter revenue of $1.87 billion, an increase of 21% from the prior year, while net income rose 75% to $208.1 million. Adjusted EBITDA increased 42% to $456.1 million, producing a record margin of 24.4%. Environmental Services benefited from emergency response activity, PFAS-related projects, waste volumes, and pricing. Its Safety-Kleen Sustainability Solutions business also recorded substantial growth, supported by higher prices for re-refined petroleum products. The company increased the midpoint of its 2026 adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow guidance by $80 million.

The results highlight favorable conditions in several specialized waste markets, particularly hazardous waste disposal, industrial environmental services, and used-oil recycling. Clean Harbors also reported five acquisitions during 2026 and a $55 million investment in a Los Angeles facility to expand its environmental services infrastructure on the West Coast. The combination of acquisitions, organic growth, and improving profitability demonstrates the importance of specialized treatment capacity and regulatory expertise. For investors, the results suggest that environmental services can offer attractive growth opportunities beyond conventional municipal solid waste collection and disposal.
