Republic Services reported third-quarter revenue growth of 8.2% and increased its full-year 2026 guidance for revenue, adjusted EBITDA, and adjusted free cash flow. The company's recycling business also reported improving results, with recycling processing and commodity sales revenue increasing $15 million compared with the third quarter of 2025. Average recycling commodity prices reached $142 per ton, an increase of $16 per ton from the previous year. Higher processing volumes at the company's Polymer Centers contributed to the improvement.

Republic continues expanding its plastics recycling infrastructure, with its third Polymer Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, scheduled for commissioning in early 2027. The facility will complement existing operations in Las Vegas and Indianapolis, producing higher-value recycled plastics for packaging applications. Republic also reported approximately $1.1 billion in acquisitions through September and expects at least $1.2 billion in acquisition spending for the year. These developments illustrate the company's dual strategy of growing its traditional waste operations through acquisitions while expanding into more specialized recycling and materials processing activities.
