Advanced Disposal Acquires Southland Sanitation And Expands Into South Carolina Marketplace
Advanced Disposal Services, Inc., a regional integrated environmental services company, completed the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding securities of SSI Southland Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Southland Sanitation, LLC and Site Services, LLC. The acquisition is the first in South Carolina for Florida-headquartered Advanced Disposal and allows the company to expand its operations into a seventh state.
Southland Sanitation is located in the greater Columbia, S.C. market and represents a new market entrance for Advanced Disposal that is contiguous to the company's existing operations in Augusta, Ga. and Charlotte, N.C.
Advanced Disposal, through its newly acquired subsidiary, Southland Sanitation, will continue to serve Southland Sanitation's 14 major residential municipal contracts servicing approximately 56,000 homes across three counties. The company will also acquire seven front-load routes servicing 1,675 commercial customers, and four roll-off routes servicing 375 commercial customers. The Southland team of more than 100 employees will continue to service their loyal customers under the Advanced Disposal name.

Jeff Nadeau has been promoted to general manager for the new Columbia, S.C. hauling location. He previously served as municipal marketing and government affairs manager for Advanced Disposal's North and South Carolina market areas.
