Veolia Environmental Services Launches EnvironmentalPassion.com
Advertising Program, Digital Initiatives Support New Web Portal
Veolia Environmental Services North America (VESNA), the North American waste services division of Veolia Environnement (NYSE:VE), today announced the launch of EnvironmentalPassion.com, a web portal tied to the company's ongoing brand awareness campaign. The portal is being supported by an interactive widget, online advertising and truck graphics.
Titled ‘Passion', the campaign expresses the company's commitment to implementing sustainable practices to preserve the environment for future generations. "In creating EnvironmentalPassion.com, our aim was to develop a portal that would help people understand how our passion for the environment drives the top priorities for our company. Additionally, the site will help visitors learn more about how we embrace the business of turning waste into a resource," said Curtis Mabry, VESNA's VP for sales, marketing and communications.
The web portal's content provides a backdrop to VESNA's business and passion through capabilities statements, case studies and employee stories. It also includes opportunities for the viewer to test their recycling knowledge with a quiz and to determine their carbon footprint. In addition, a widget, titled ‘Veoliacity', showcases how different types of waste are handled in a variety of circumstances, through animation and interactivity.
Online advertising and truck graphics take visual cues from the web portal's home page. The creative executions depict the business of VESNA in parallel with a scene from nature. A black and white business image is ‘peeled' back to reveal a colorful environmental image, demonstrating both the company's business and passion. The graphics also support the portal's messaging with the tagline, "Our business is environmental services. Our passion is the environment." Online ads are running in select trade and business publications from September through December, and the truck graphics can be seen in several markets throughout the US and Canada.
Mabry continued, "We wanted to demonstrate our passion for the environment, while creating a place where our customers could find out a little bit more about our people and our culture. We hope EnvironmentalPassion.com will help jump start a larger dialogue about environmental initiatives with our clients and the broader community."
