Advanced Disposal Cleans Up in North Georgia

  • Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Celebrates Opening of New Transfer Station

Advanced Disposal will celebrate the opening of its new Blue Ridge Transfer Station with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2008. The transfer station is located at 10169 Lakewood Highway, Mineral Bluff, Ga.

"This new facility furthers Advanced Disposal's footprint in North Georgia and allows us to offer even better customer service," said Mark Odekirk, Advanced Disposal District Manager. "We are proud to provide a larger and safer environment for the residents and businesses of Fannin County."

The Blue Ridge Transfer Station will be open for business on Monday, October 27th. Hours of operation for the transfer station are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; the transfer station is closed Saturday and Sunday. A drop-off convenience center for residents will be open Monday and Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Tuesday- Thursday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The convenience center is closed on Sunday.

The current transfer station located at 530 Tom Boyd Road in Blue Ridge, Ga. will no longer be open and all residents must use the new location at 10169 Lakewood Highway, Mineral Bluff, Ga.
