Construction Kicks Off On Arizona-Mexico Border Landfill

Construction has begun on a multimillion-dollar landfill in the Mexican border city of San Luis Rio Colorado near Yuma, Ariz. The landfill is being financed partly by a $1 million loan and a $500,000 grant from the North American Development Bank (www.nadbank.org), and will replace an open-air dump that potentially threatened both sides of the border.
