Allied Waste Industries (NYSE: AW) reported a net loss, after paying preferred dividends, of $2.4 million, or $0.01 per share, in the first quarter of 2004, as compared to a net profit of $42.2 million, or $0.22 per share, with the differential primarily due to early repayment of debt. Revenue rose to $1.275 billion from $1.231 billion in the first quarter of 2003.

PDG Environmental has reported revenue for the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, 2004 of $36.4 million, versus $40.8 million for 2003. Net income for the year was $644,000, or $0.07 per share, compared with $278,000, or $0.03 per share for 2003.

Clean Harbors, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLHB) has reported first-quarter 2004 revenues of $142.8 million, compared with $142.3 million in the first quarter of 2003. Income from operations totaled $4.1 million in the quarter, compared with a loss of $0.7 million in 2003.
