TRC Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRR) has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE: LMT) for the cleanup of the former Lockheed Shipyard unit of the Harbor Island Superfund Site located in Seattle, Wash. The contract is valued at $26.7 million. TRC will be responsible for remediation of the site, including pier demolition, bulkhead replacement, dredging and disposal of sediments and the construction of a cap overlying the remaining sediments. The design and construction portion of the work will end in roughly two years, and maintenance and monitoring will continue for 25 years.
