Waste Industries USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: WWIN), formerly known as Waste Holdings, Inc., has reported financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2002 compared to the same period last year. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2002, the company reported revenues of $65.0 million, up 3.6% compared to $62.8 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2001. Operating income increased 21.3% to $7.6 million compared to $6.3 million for the comparable period last year. Net income increased 31.1% to $3.2 million, or $0.24 per share.
