Environmental Justice Steps To The Forefront With
Major N.C. Remediation
|
 |
ISSUE:
Volume 14, Number 1 January 2004

 |
ABSTRACT:
Environmental
justice isnt a new issue; virtually anyone whos ever
lived near an unwanted environmental facility has surely felt their
area had been singled out to the unfair exclusion of others. But
the ever-increasing development of both urban and rural areas, the
growing diversification of the American populace, and the ability
for groups to broadcast their concerns to a previously unseen degree
have all combined to bring environmental justice issues to the forefront
of the environmental industry.
